Who I am…

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) in Prince George, BC. My passion for helping others and my deep empathy for those navigating overwhelming experiences, loss, disconnection, or trauma are at the heart of my work. I take a validating, relational approach, grounded in authenticity and trust. At the core of my practice is a commitment to fostering genuine connection and creating a supportive space where healing and growth can take place.

I also tend to be a dialectical and systems-approach kind of thinker which helps shape my understanding of people, personality, and problems. As such, I will strive to understand your context and to become authentically attuned to all the parts of you that you bring into the counselling space. This approach can help me better understand you and the things going on in your life that bring you to counselling therapy. It can also help us determine what Finding Forward looks like for you. None of us gets through this life on our own. Perhaps together, we can take some steps towards alleviating distress and achieving your goals.

What I do…

People, problems, and counselling goals are unique and I believe that the counselling approach should align with the person and be relevant for addressing what matters most to them. For this reason, I am very Person-Centred and take a holistic, integrative approach. Though I favor the person-centred, Rogerian approach, I regularly use techniques and interventions from other counselling approaches, to provide client-centred, personalized support.

My perspective and methods are also informed by Neuroscience, Attachment Theory, and therapies that include: Existential, Psychodynamic, Emotionally Focused, Adlerian, Solutions-Focused, Gestalt, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive (MBCT), Compassion Focused (CFT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), and Acceptance Commitment therapies. I am familiar and align with a variety of trauma processing and integration therapies and have completed level 1 training for Observed Experiential Integration (OEI).

Personal and Professional Experiences that have shaped me and my perspectives…

Since 2011, I have provided culturally responsive, trauma informed, person-centred support to men, women, children and youth from multiple walks of life. I have enjoyed working with individuals, couples, families, and facilitating groups in the Prince George public schools (2011-2015), youth (2015-2017) and adult (2017-2025) correctional centers, and in clinical practice (2023-Present).

As such, I have considerable experience working with trauma survivors, neurodiverse clients (individuals with differences in processing including ASD and ADHD), individuals with traumatic or developmental brain injuries (including TBI’s and FASD), and people who identify with various forms of faith or spirituality and who come from an array of different cultural backgrounds. My experiences and training culminate in a trauma-informed, trauma-attuned, and culturally responsive approach. I regularly integrate brain, body, mind, and soul approaches and I have also helped recipients of psychedelic-assisted treatments process and integrate what they have experienced and learned from their journeys.

I continue to be active, adventurous, and deeply connected to a personal faith and spirituality – one that has been forged through the fires of my own experiences with pain, grief and loss. My intention and hope is to help clients work towards their goals so they can live their most meaningful lives. If this seems like a good fit for you, then let’s connect…
